In Little Italy (Corso Italia), Ottawa, Canada, there is one huge mural that is a tribute to the history of Little Italy and the theme is of family, religion, and food - a focal point of the local Italian roots.
This mural was the first to be permitted on an Ontario Ministry of Transportation structure and is seen as a big step for murals as public art movement.
This has got to be the first super huge/long murals I have photographed and due to its length, I couldn't take a picture of the whole wall in one shot, it had to be in sections.
Too bad there were cars, so some of the paintings were covered, and I didn't choose panorama setting on the camera, so I cannot stitch them pictures as one 😌
This mural is also one of local and international tourists magnet to Little Italy. Should you be around the neighborhood, you shouldn't and you won't miss it.
Today there might be more new additions to the wall, as when I took the pictures, this was there, made it seem it wasnt fully done yet.
I couldn't zoom-in a couple of areas, so please go here to see more upclose each of the paintings with their detailed background stories.
Thanks For Looking!
