Two quotes from Gandhi that always resonated with me are
1/ be the change you wish to see in the world
and 2/ first they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you and then you win.
I love the sentiment of both of these, but, let's not forget that Gandhi's wife died because Gandhi refused to let her have medication for religious reasons but then accepted the medication himself a few months later when he was faced with the same illness.
