Just recently I've learned of the ACES color space, understand HDR, learn how chroma and luma scopes work enough (strangely enough by teaching it) and been using Filmic and.. rendering to the goold old standard of sRGB. But I have only touched the tip of iceberg.
I'm not sure if I should modify my Bforartists build to use ACES from the get go and incorporate EXR into my workflow from the get go. It adds a step to the rendering pipeline - but wow, the colours could be amazing... think Lego Movie bright and beautiful. My usual workflow is more a WYSIWYG from viewport renders so that compositing is on a minimum and color balance also on minimum. I'll seriously have to invest a bit more time into it to pop out that slight quality push - though researching this is really quite a chore.
Do you think it will be worth getting on board with an ACES or float colour workflows?
