A few months ago I made a post about work I have sold. Today, I thought I would feature some of my work that; as yet; remains unsold.
The first piece above has had a few names; but I finally settled on "Riding through" I actually finished the piece; which at the time was just a lump of newspaper and tissue; for a Steemit art contest.
I still feel like I have a lot to learn as an artist and that I still have skills I want to hone; but I like these pieces for various personal reasons. If you see any you would like to purchase some are up for grabs on my Facebook Marketplace or you can just message me.
"War of the Sky Gods" is another collage that I am fond of. An art critic who came buy my studio space during the art walk said it was a worthwhile piece; as have many others; but no one has yet bought it.
"The Lost Call" is an acrylic that expresses my sad feelings when I made it years ago;I cannot believe how old this piece is.
"Waves" (above) and "Cliffs" (below) are from around 2014 when I lived in Portland, Maine.
"Face Gone" is an old collage on paper. I do not even know where it is now; it is back from the time I felt my soul was beginning to disappear.
"Mangled Door" is a more recent piece. I love it because making it took me deep inside myself and remember that feeling whenever I see it. It is imperfect; but I have no desire to ever change it. Sometimes pieces come alive to me; like they are my child. I feel like I cannot work on them anymore they are themselves now.
"In My Dreams A Horsey Came to Save Me" is also a recent piece. For this I retreated to an older style of working with oil pastels.
The next few pieces are all oil pastels I made years ago; some were began with colored pencil ad then worked over with the oil pastel after.
"Metaphysical Prayer"
"The Conversation"
"Lighting His Smokes"
"A New Dawn"
These last three pieces are from college; and I will likely never sell them.
"Waiting"
"Unrequited"
"Computer/Body"
Thank you if you have read this far and I hope you enjoyed looking at at least some of my pieces. Have a great day! :) Dania
