The name of this art photograph is: 'Autumn'
The autumn has begun. Water is cold and leaves are slowly falling down. A nostalgic feeling brims out of this photograph. It makes me wish to step into this old wooden rowboat, paddle for some time and enjoy myself in the middle of the lake. The new wave films come to mind.
An overall very cold colour palette consisting of blue, green and light purple is broken with several warm elements (thwarts, scattered leaves and the anchoring wood). It creates an appealing colour balance. Observe the dark water to the right of the rowboat and the light to the left.
The boat's hull texture conveys years of service while the smooth areas of water work toward juxtaposing it. Water is forever, the boat is not. Scattered leaves in the boat and the white areas on the surface push this idea even a step further.
Composition wise - fully open, dynamic with all the lines slanted. The main element is pleasantly surrounded by the rest of them.
