The name of this art photograph is: 'A Couple'
A couple, yes. One reaches for the hights and light, while the other is quite happy down there, low and in the shadow. That, of course, has nothing to do with people. ;) Or does it? :D Well, there are no rules, as we very well know. Sometimes relationships may become so that one has to drag the other. This photo portrays exactly that kind of affair.
In this open composition, there is a unity between red and green and a clash of complementary colours, at the same time. The red as if running away from the ordinary green and reaching up there, high in the light. The further it reaches, the more colour is lost and lighter it becomes. The tonal perspective is created by the backlight. See the hard black and the saturated colours in the foreground as opposed to the washed out ones in the top third.
The background is mostly also green. What does that symbolize? Why is it the same colour as the green partner? Is it a group that blends well with the green one? Society rules? I'll let you think of your answers.
Notice the aura from the sun.
