...when you explore the immaterial flow of electronic impulses on your computer?
As new technologies became available, artists have always learned to use them and new ways of expression were developed. Think of artists like Caravaggio in 1807 making use of the Camera Obscura in his production technique, artists using airbrushes, silkscreens, acrylic paints are more examples of this.
Let's forget about the technique used to create something...if you think of a painting like an idea you have in your mind it stays immaterial until you start to paint it on the surface of your choice, on paper, on canvas or in the magnetic field of the computers hard drive.
If people ask me how my artworks are made I always answer that they are made with digital tools but the most important software is situated on the right side of your brain, called INSPIRATION.
