I’ve had my first collaboration since the moment I joined cryptoart club.
And I can say, it was quite challenging)
Alex Henry wrote me on Twitter offering collaboration.
Recently, I do not communicate very much with other artists. And even more so for a long time I have not done anything together with anyone. It is one thing to do from your own vision and understanding of things, and the other is to feel the points of intersection of worldviews and artistic stylistics with another author. In the end, I decided to try what comes out of it)
Alex sent me a graphical basis, which he proposed to use for collaboration.
This picture seemed interesting to me because of its simplicity, monochrome and depth at the same time.
I started working on the GIF and everything didn’t get stuck: the software was buggy, I couldn’t adjust the animation, the keyframes disappeared, normals turned out when scaling. In general, the software has its own mood)
My concept was born from the point that this image resembled something ancient, sacred, schematic, but meaningful, it told me about uniqueness, like a fingerprint, about micro and macro space. I conceived a GIF of three sequences.
First we see a pattern that moves away and a larger pattern appears. So far, everything is on the same plane. And suddenly we realize that there is another facet. This second face is mirrored, showing symmetry. This symmetry gives rise to new images at the junction, which were not seen before.
And then another facet. Stop. It seems like there should be an end. We do not underestimate the versatility of the world and are more guided by our experience, vision, which are limited.
The movement of the object changes direction and we can see the inner side, which is hidden. It seems to us that now everything is clear. All faces are visible both outside and inside, we recognise the object. The brain calms down, we rely on familiar things again.
But this is not the end. There is still an invisible line that appears just at this moment. It is already beyond the scope of our three-dimensional reality and is not at all subject to awareness by the mind.
For GIF, the material was great, so the video came out)
But I also wanted to make the GIF a bit different.
The GIF concept has little to do with the previous work.

Here we also see a plane on which a sacred ornament is depicted. A colored geometric ornament is superimposed on the surface. The object moves away from us and the rotation begins. We see that he has another side, which also has a tempting pattern and rhythm.
There is a parable that at the physical, everyday level we do not see the whole picture of the universe, but we constantly stumble upon nodes of imperfection. But if you rise above it, go one level higher, then we see that all these knots and imperfections (as it seemed to us) add up to a beautiful carpet that captivates with its magical image.
So, there are two fruits from our collab with Alex Henry
