The tree of the wars. Digital art.
Regards, my beloved Steemit family, lovers of art and beauty:
I did this little exercise of artistic exploration with the free software https://firealpaca.com/, using all its large stock of tools available at no charge. As a starting point, I chose this picture by the great illustrator American-Jordanian Omar Rayyan whose work I find excellent and of the highest quality. Rayyan blog is here
I took the image from here
I chose this specific photo because I found it extremely evocative with its touch of childish expressiveness and nostalgic remembrance of the magic of the golden age, already lost, which suggested that I intervene with elements that denounce the violence of war. So I downloaded the copy of the original image, which has a color palette centered on the contrast between greens and reds. With FireAlpaca I added a series of very specific graphic elements trying not to change the original image as much as possible:
I changed the peaceful turtles into mortal machines:
I incorporated the faces of a couple of characters that are pointed out in various media such as think tank or financiers of how much war they invent and also an image that became viral thanks to social networks and that speaks of the anonymous victims of the war, in this case, the one that has destroyed the lives of so many Syrians:
I hope you like the final outcome, which I show above.
