has created this new creative competition called #artexplosion and of course I had to get in on it.
The theme for the first challenge is geometry, and immediately I thought of some b&w photos of architecture that I've taken.
This first shot I took in Montreal quite awhile ago. This is looking down from the top of the Olympic Stadium, mixing the hard angles of the window with the strange geodesic dome covering the main stadium.
This shot I took much more recently at the Blanton Museum of Art right here in Austin, TX.
This is above the main stairwell leading up to the galleries and again the angles intersecting is very intriguing. The bright sunlight streaming in also gave this some dynamic shadows that I really enjoy.
