I was away in West Wales this weekend and a friend of the people I was staying with dropped off some produce.
Come 2.30 a.m. and SEVERAL beers we found ourselves in the renovated house my friends are gradually doing up having a late night smoke and perusing said bag of produce and found this...
I mean come on, is that not THE MOST AMUSING root vegetable you've ever seen?
And maybe slightly disturbing.
Although mainly amusing, as in just friggin hilarious at the time.
And from another angle it has a tail...
It kind of reminds me of that man/dog hybrid that one of the characters in The Fly gets turned into at the end of the move, albeit a bit different.
Kind of what might happen to you if you get put into a site to site transporter and some bastard chucks a Jerusalem artichoke into the transporter at the last minute.
We are 99% certain it's a Jerusalem artichoke, but I'm not holding that against it.
It may have been the beer or whatever but it was certainly the funniest thing I've seen in 2023, or maybe my life is just tragically a bit sad!
But whatever I'm owning it, I think the world NEEDS more amusing root vegetables.
Or just maybe you had to be there!?!
