My name is Nairy Shahinian, I'm an independent artist, a freelance photographer/videographer, and a mid level art management professional.
From an Armenian background I was born and raised in Damascus, Syria. As my late father was a professional photographer, I grew up in an environment where photography equipments were fascinating toys for me to discover, and I've been training my eye into seeing as well as capturing images since I was a child.
My professional career in photography started in my father's photography store and studio. After I received my professional photography diploma from New York Institute of Photography, I traveled abroad and freelanced in assisting professional photographers in different types of photography.
After that, I freelanced as a photographer and a graphic designer for a short time until I found my way to work in an international art gallery, since the world of art in general is something that I'm always eager to discover more about. I moved to Dubai, U.A.E. when the gallery relocated its headquarters to operate from there. In 2018, the gallery went through a major restructuring phase, which led me to lose the job I had as the Head of Inventory, Photography and Printing Departments. Since then I got back to freelancing as a photographer and I also started learning more about videography.

On the other hand, I approach visual arts as a never-ending process of discovery in my artistic practice. I often employs experimental techniques as investigative tools, allowing me to intimately document my immediate surroundings and experiences.
I have created several projects and series, mainly using the medium of photography, that have been presented at international art spaces and events.

Initially, I have learned about crypto currency from a friend of mine in Dubai who was working on a project related to crypto with his friends in 2018, and I invested in their project. And recently, my brother is learning more about crypto so he stumbled into NFT and shared an article with me to read about it. As I'm currently based in Yerevan, Armenia with my family now, we're being able to talk and share more about it since we're living in the same apartment.
Although NFT looked interesting to me, I didn't have the chance to give it much time to read and learn more about it until last week. And that's when I finally decided to create my account on
