The picture I present for today is Reungkam (Acehnese language), this is one of the typical crafts from Aceh Province (Sumatra) This reungkam is made from woven coconut tree leaves, the craft makes this reungkam is passed down from generation to generation from generation to generation. Our life in Aceh is very simple any of our nature though to be used as goods that can be used in our household. Therefore, I, as an Acehnese child of origin, advise the people to preserve their traditions and customs so as not to be lost with the development of the times and if the younger generation no longer cares about the customary and cultural traditions, then it will extinct the traditional and cultural traditions.
We see now it is very rare that we meet young women who can make this "Reungkam" very useful for kitchen utensils in the household and also to promote our traditions and customs abroad.
My message to the younger generation now let us preserve these habits and cultures to avoid extinction.
