I was travelling helping another photographer out on a commision for a UK bank documenting the north of England.
It first opened on the 3rd of August 1875 and made up of twenty-four arches of 45 feet each. It's Massive! built by the Architect John Sydney Crossley who was one of the best Victorian railway engineers of the time. sadly he died in 1879 but left as his legacy one of the most scenic and beautiful railway routes in Britain.
Those victorians sure knew how to travel in style!
