Hello Steemians, we have a school project required by our arts teacher in Grade 8. It is so common to dye a white shirt with a favorite color. But this time, there is something unique with the usual dyeing because at least there can be 3 colors to use, more colors the better but I am particular with the cost in buying more colors so just have the required of at least three colors. The result is so amazing. Hope you will also like this art task.
Materials used:
T-shirt (white or those with lighter colors can also be used)
textile dye 3 colors ( I used pink, green and orange, all neon colors)
rubber bonds
cotton balls
empty bottles (3)
Procedures:
Using empty bottles, mix the dye with water, the amount of water will depend on the shade you desire.
Lay the T-shirt flat without folds. Pull the shirt at the center to form twirls.
Folllow the twirl to make the shirt circular in shape. Tie using rubber bonds.
Since there are three colors, divide the circled T-shirt into three, then start applying the first color using the cotton balls, from the first until the third color, until the shirt is completely dyed.
Air dry, when no more water is dropping, you may have the final drying using a hanger. here's now the finish product. Any color combination you like will do. Hope you like this art.
