Hi friends, I'm an artist and for sometime, I've been trying to share my art with y'all Steemians. Here's another wonderful one I've made using black pen on white paper.
Guess what? I've completely stopped using pencils to draw and you'd ask why. I'd list the reasons below:
- Pens save time
Whenever I use pencils. I waste time drawing and erasing. With indelible pens, that's not the case since there's no erasing. I draw once and for all. - Pens make me more careful
Whenever I use pens, I pay more attention to details and draw accurately because I can afford to make mistakes. - Pens improve my skills over time
Using pens instead of pencils have added more stroking skill to my artistic skill set.
The start
For a start, I still use pens to carefully outline the features of the face proportionally.
Thereafter, I go ahead rode tail the lights and shades using single strokes and cross hatches.
When using pens, be careful and patient enough. With time, you'll come to enjoy using pens like me.
