Asian stocks rose at the start of the week to record highs after finding support from the positive performance of US stocks last week. It is worth mentioning that Chinese stocks rose today after inflation data from last month.
Interestingly, China is still in focus this week, awaiting growth data for the third quarter, especially after China's central bank forecast the economy will grow by 7% in the second half of the year.
Japanese stocks rose today, with Japan's TOPIX gaining 0.81% to add 10.68 points to 1,324.37. Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average gained 0.63% to 132.95 points, reaching 21,288.13 points.
Chinese stocks rose today, with the CSI 300 rising 0.42% to 16.49 points and reaching 3,937.49. The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.04% to 1.27 points and reached 3,391.79 points.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 0.87% to 247.31 points to 28,723.74. South Korea's Kospi Index rose 0.22% to 5.51 points and reached 2,479.13 points.
New Zealand's NZX 50 index was down 0.11%, losing 9.12 points to 8,080.19. On the other hand, Australia's S & P / ASX 200 index gained 0.58% to 33.85 points, up to 5,848.00
