Steem is growing every day. So many people joining, so many that have stuck around for a very long time but also many who have left. Where most other blockchain's rely on their miners to do the heavy lifting and reward only those that either buy in or buy equipment to earn stake in it, here we reward users for their activity directly but also keep investors happy with curation rewards.
It feels like a lot of time has passed and that Steem has been alive for such a long time if you've been here daily from the very beginning. It's difficult to grasp that the blockchain isn't even 2 years old yet. So much happening, so many different communities being built and so many new people finding out about it and becoming active in the communities that interest them.
A lot of people are settling in with their activity, finding the missing parts that the platform needs and lacks and patching them up. The feeling of the small community I myself used to have about the platform is slowly starting to fade. With the increase in users the chances of everyone at one point interacting with another are decreasing.
Some people have big roles, some have medium ones while others have smaller ones. Everyone contributing in their own ways and many sharing the same beliefs that this technology will change the world and is already making big moves. It's really starting to feel like it's building up into it's own civilization.
Anyway, to get to my question I have today and was hoping for a healthy discussion. There are always key players and influencers in every community, it doesn't always matter what they stand for and what they do but to you they are the favorite ones because of the ways they do things and interact on the platform.
Who are your favorite Steemians and why?
On these #asksteemit posts I reward good discussions more than usual.
