Millions said they would 'storm' Area 51 but only handful showed up at the venue. It all started as an Internet joke, but 100s did turn up in Nevada where the government facility code named "Area 51" is located. Most of those who turned up at the military base were alien hunters, ET believers.
Despite the event being cancelled some of the ardent alien enthusiasts still showed up. Some of them came just to have a good time.
There were about 2,000 people who participated in an earlier event.
