Galant Lady
Named The Galant Lady, this Haitian cargo shipwreck is located right along the North Bimini island shore in the Bahamas. The crew literally had to abandon ship when the vessel became stuck in the shallows.
You can see the rusting hull of the ship, a result of the pounding sea. It shows how powerful the sea can truly be, this boat built of such hard metals and durable materials is slowly being washed away into pieces wave by wave year by year.
I heard likes GIF's so I made this one out of a video I took.

A Little More About The Ship
I decided to do some research about this ship and found that, this small freighter sailed out of Belize City and washed up along the Bimini coast after running a ground in the shallows during Hurricane Mitch in 1997. Here is a photo I found that shows what it looked like years before my photo above.

It has since sat in this same spot along the shore, the relentless waves are slowly destroying the ship and one day it will be reduced to nothing.
Abandoned Shit Weekly
This is my entry into the #aswcontest by
The Theme:
This week's theme = VEHICLES! The photos must be of abandoned vehicles. Cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, trains, airplanes, boats, zeppelins... space ships. Whatever. Any vessel of transportation.
The Contest:
"This is NOT a photography contest. The subject matter is what's being judged with the Abandoned Shit Weekly contest, not one's skills with a camera. Honestly, I just want to see some cool abandoned shit. lol HOWEVER, as with any photograph, the "wow factor" can certainly be enhanced with a technically sound execution. Simply put, winners won't be chosen strictly on artistry."
The Rules:
Rule #1 = Your abandoned shit photo must be posted using the tag #aswcontest for one of your tags. This is crucial so that your entry can be seen/found!
Rule #2 = Your photo must be taken by YOU.
Rule #3 = Only ONE entry per user, per week. Save some content for future contests!
Rule #4 = Tell us what we're looking at! You don't have to write a novel, but let us know what the picture is of, and where you found it. That's the most interesting part! Equipment and camera settings can be included at your discretion, but is not necessary.
