The earth will aways take it back.
On one of my dive trips around Vancouver Island I spend a couple of days diving in the waters around Flores Island and the community of Ahousaht BC.
Ahousaht, also spelled Ahousat, is the principal settlement on Flores Island. Accessible only by water or air, Ahousaht is a small community predominantly composed of First Nations people from the Nuu-chah-nulth nation.
Due to the difficulty of travel for the most part in and out of the area, things tend to get left once they have worn out their usefulness. This old loader and the surrounding small saw mill was completely abandoned and over grown. It was a very interesting sight to see and explore.
Mother Nature will reclaim, that for sure. Travelling to these more remote places is very fascinating and beautiful. Everyone one I met with the community were fantastic and the diving was great as well.
Thanks for reading.
