This is my entry for this weeks Abandoned Shit Contest organized by
Theme: 'Overgrowth.'
There is only one reason I'd leave an established well appointed home in rural Queensland, Australia nestled amongst mature trees, surrounded by the beauty of nature, not a neighbour in sight, with crows and kookaburras fighting for the pleasure of waking me from my deep slumber in my naturally air conditioned home with wide veranda's wrapped around the entire building.........and that is........ if the fishing was good.
Well, the fishing must have been darn good because these premises have not seen a tin of paint, a broom, a lawn mower, window cleaner, or windows for that matter in a very long time. One man's trash is another insects treasure because I assume that beneath the years of neglect and overgrowth many happy insects are building their homes, keeping their species alive without the interference of humans. Such is life!
