Honour killings
Honor killings in the Islamic religion, highlights a broad disregard and oppression of women within it. A religion that instructs men how to beat, and control their wives by their devine rulers word, is bound to instil a sense of male superiority:
Quran (4:34) – “Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great.” (ThereligionofPeace.com)
Furthermore the Quran instructs woman to hide themselves away in Burkas and veils, to take responsibility against potential sexual assaults:
Chapter 33, Verse 59: O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons: that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested. (Edmonds, M)
This is indicative of Muslim males blaming women for being raped, which is one of their reasons for committing honour killings.
Honour killing are largely perpetrated by male family members, who perceive the actions of a female family member as dishonourable. They believe the murder will clean the stain of dishonour from the family. Whether a misinterpretation or not, many followers of Islam use this verse as justification:
Surah 4.15 “Those who commit unlawful sexual intercourse of your women – bring against them four [witnesses] from among you. And if they testify, confine the guilty women to houses until death takes them or Allah ordains for them [another] way”. (quran.com)
These kinds of holy passages. A written guide on how to live life by their idolized perfect being, shift blame on women for being raped. This is slut shaming on another level. A literal deadly form of slut shaming, using murder to control the actions and free expression of woman.

It is easy to see that this religion was created by weak jealous men, amidst a need to control and supress women. Interestingly however, much of the feminist community ignores this and would rather focus on demonising white males of the western world.
