LETTER TO AN ATHEIST
My real problem with all the promises atheism offers to free man from the so-called nonexisting religious prison is its warped answers to the question why all humans live, and what powers do man has over life and death when man finally assumed control over his life outside religion. Do we as humans determine when we should be born or die? Are these choices beyond our powers, if yes, why? Yes, we often select the spouse to marry or the football match to watch because we have powers to exercise in such choices! Although, man is not in any doubt that he didn't created himself, and the phones or cars we all used were invented by others since they didn't drop just like that yet man is as well very free to accept God, or not and to be religious, or not. True, man is also very free to deny God exists at any time he so wishes, but could man stop the sun from appearing every morning? Both man and the sun are among the few creations of the supreme God, not Nature. And by His Divine wisdom, God has made the sun to be absolutely loyal to Him as its Supreme Creator; hence it performs all its assigned functions dutiful without any revolt. Alas, man is not the sun! And unlike the sun, man is created a rebel. He has been given powers to select between good or bad or between hell and heaven. And the promise of retributive consequence which must come is an undeniable fact that the powerlessness of man to have full control over all his affairs is as vivid as the sun he feels even when he loses his sight. Nothing exerts man's limited powers to have absolute control over all his affairs in all ramifications than his feebleness and the glaring inability to control simple things like taking a decisive decision not to urinate again in all his live. Yes, man can freely stop worshiping God, but can he stop urinating or inhaling air? Our powers, as humans, have limit, no matter the books we read and phoney promises of freedom they offer for us or how well they shape our thinking faculties. If Facebook is believed by all to be an invention by someone ingenious, definitely man or the world he inhabits can't be without a Creator, Whose ingenuity is above all and everythings!
