... I overcame a quiet important part of my upraising, not out of being rebellious, but because it didn't make sense to me anymore.

Needless to say, at times I'm envious of the easy strength and feeling of community people find in their beliefs, but I will never envy narrowmindedness and exclusion of people, who doesn't share my belief-system.
