Le Couture de la Marie is a French erotic short film considered one of the world's first erotic films. The film was first shown publicly in Paris in November 1896. The film was produced by Louis Eugne Parro, a photographer and filmmaker, and directed by Albert Kirchner under "Layer". The original film has been estimated to be about seven minutes long, but it was in poor condition in the French film archives until it was found in 1996.
