Our friend from Adelaide, South Australia lives two blocks from Morialta Conservation Park. It is part of a string of parks and conservation areas that connect in the Adelaide Hills, and you could walk for over sixty miles from one end to the other.
Ever since my first visit twenty one years ago, it has become my spcial place. I've roamed more tracks than most of the people I pass there, and love sharing my adventures with them.
Today I was hiking with a grand daughter of that friend, who had never done the Three Fall Loop. This picture is of the third. The trail is pretty easy, with a few short, steep stretches than are not hard to overcome. For those who may struggle, there's a road just above this photo where you can walk down from.
There are many caves to explore in the park as well. The one seen here is also a small meeting and theater area, with benches carved into the connected caves. Further beyond this, rock climbers maneuver up short, steep segments.
That's it for today. Tomorrow, I venture across the sea to explore the south island of New Zealand, also known as Te Waipounamu.
