First, Hive account@simgirlandsnook would like to say we have missed you all so very much during the last 9 months of hiatus. Bad Karaoke was one of our favorite projects on Steemit and we had a hard time trying to think up something to follow the awesome contest. In fact, nothing did follow Bad Karaoke on the Hive account@simgirlandsnook page.

You can still go back through the page and see all of the previous contestants of the Bad Karaoke and the episodes of The Sim Your Life show on mspwaves. Since our ghosting we have been busy writing and blogging and working on other projects in the background we call life. One thing that hasn't changed is our love of Steemit and the Bad Karaoke contest.

Recently Hive account@molovelly contacted Hive account@simgirlandsnook and pleaded we bring back the Bad Karaoke contest. She went as far as to protest by singing a song a day until she got her demands met. We are easily manipulated so it only took a few days of protest before we gave in. You can find her here singing her heart out for the return of Bad Karaoke.

It didn't take long to decide Bad Karaoke needed to be revived once we seen the new Twitch Sings program introduced last year. Hive account@molovelly found this gem of a game and passed the information on to Hive account@simgirlandsnook. We instantly became interested and decided this was something we could do again.

Twitch Sings is easy to use. Once downloaded to your Twitch account, you can use the program to sing the selected karaoke songs from the play list by using an avatar, a web cam, or even the face rig we love so much. The program records your voice and video and then saves it. You can then share your performance with others on Steemit using the embedded video link provided in your saved Twitch videos.

Once you begin playing you can then sing and record your own solo performances or you can choose to sing a duet. To sing a duet, pick a song from the list and either begin a duet for others to join, or find another performer who has begun a duet and sing with them. This is a new twist to the Bad Karaoke, because we can now ask you to finish duets, or ask that only duets join the contest. How many Bad Karaoke friends do you have???

We are excited about using the Twitch Sings for the Bad Karaoke because it will give us many new challenges. The song list is long and varied, with many challenges of its own built into the game. It also has many different genres, giving us the option of assigning the song type for the contests each week.

The Plan- To run a Bad Karaoke contest on Steemit once a week using the Twitch Sings program. The prize will be a Steem- amount to be decided later and the winners will again be decided by votes from the audience. The only change in the contest will be that we reserve the right to choose any particular theme or song for the contest each week.

You can prerecord your Bad Karaoke entries, but you may not be able to submit them if they do not match the weekly requirements. Therefore you must wait until the announcement of the Hive account@simgirlandsnook #badkaraoke contest each week before you can enter the contest.

In order to give you time to warm up your karaoke vocal cords and familiarize yourself with the Twitch Sings program, we are inviting all the former contestants and fans of the Bad Karaoke to check out the Twitch Sings game to see if you would once again like to enter or sponsor the Bad Karaoke contest.
