Spoiler Alert!
I finally watched Netflix's Bird Box, even though I knew it was going to be stupid going in. The premise sounded really interesting, and I couldn't sleep so I figured what the heck. It has some big name actors, like Sandra Bullock and John Malkovich, but the good acting couldn't save this turd.
The world is taken over by some mysterious entities that make you kill yourself if you look at them. Unless you are already violently insane, then they make you force other people to look at them. But these things, whatever they are, can't come inside of buildings, even if the door or windows are open.
So the people that survive remain indoors with the windows covered, so they don't accidently look outside. It was interesting to see the methods the characters use to forage for supplies, but there is no way they are driving around using only proximity sensors to navigate. And rowing a boat down a raging river with blindfolds on? Please! Of course, a teenage girl in Utah wrecked her car a few days ago trying to drive blindfolded down the street after watching this, but that isn't too surprising.
It is all ridiculously implausible, and the whole thing smacks of SJW, white people are evil propaganda that the big studios are trying so hard to push these days.
