It’s been a month or more than that has passed after my last post and lots of things happened since which im eager to tell you! I have lots of good news but saving those for the next post. Currently I’m at vacation in Bodrum( one of the popular touristic cities in Turkey) with my girlfriend so if I cut too short on this review please forgive me :)
Elaine Faye - Smoke
I was planning to write about for a long time but I was having hard time with my exams and coordinating a summer plan with my sister and my girlfriend thats why this is the only space I found till I get home.
I’m writing this in the kitchen while smoking before going to beach Elaine just wanted to let you know :)
Elaine’s arrangement skills are top notch on this song you can hear a varied use of different arrangement techniques which keeps your heart beat rapidly through the entire song. Her lyrics are always rhymed in a good mood even while she’s telling us her feelings about a failing relationship. The chorus rises the energy of the song like a rock festival anthem. She uses micro syncopated breaks on gas that it feels like the driver dances while driving the song on top speed. She hits the notes on a 2 octave range while singing and proving again that she has a powerful voice and full control over it. The feel of the song is electric and energetic that makes you wanna dance or run. It is also a really good song for road trips.
You can find her other works on her DSound and Spotify
I’m going to review Elaine with details on coming episodes but today I have to cut here. I cant tell how I missed writing about steemit musicians and being part of For The Love Of The Band’s wonderful review contest Bands About Bands, you can read the announcement post of the contest by clicking here
