Today 11th may 2018 Bangladesh is going to launch it's 1st satellite.

After Numerous delays, the country’s first satellite is finally set to be launched from Cape Canaveral in Florida, US tomorrow morning.(11 may 2018)

Bangabandhu-1 Satellite will be sent into orbit on a Falcon 9 rocket between 2:12am and 4:22am Bangladesh time tomorrow. (According to Bangladesh Government)

The director general of Bangladesh Television has already confirmed that the state-owned government TV channel will broadcast the launch live to the country people.

Online viewers can live stream the event on Facebook and certain YouTube channels. (According to Junaid Ahmed Palak)

Sajeeb Wazed Joy, ICT adviser to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, will witness the launch ceremony from the visitor complex at Cape Canaveral SpaceX.

“Initially we planned huge programs to celebrate the occasion across the country on the day after the launch,” Shajahan Mahmood, Chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission, said before he left for Florida.

The project officials said, The Bangabandhu-1 Satellite will reach its position in space within three weeks of the launch, but it will only become commercially operational after another two months.
