Abdul Wahhab Miah was acting Chief Justice of Bangladesh. When Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha was on leave on 3 October, 2017, Abdul Wahhab Miah was made acting Chief Justice. This evening he resigned. On Friday evening, he sent a resignation letter to Bangabhaban. Earlier, on Friday, Syed Mahmud Hossain was appointed as Chief Justice of Bangladesh. Syed Mahmud Hossain will take oath as the 22nd Chief Justice on Saturday.
