Bank Holiday (Not)
I'M NOT A BANK, SO...
It's a bank holiday here today, since New Year's Day fell on Sunday, but since I'm not a bank, I'm not a holiday. LOL. It's back to business for me basically. This year we're hitting the floor running.
Shoutout to the staff at this cafe as well. They must have been at work nice and early, when most people were probably still asleep, or just waking up, on a bank holiday. It's not bank holiday for them either. They're not even closing early today, as they did on Christmas Eve. It's just any old day.
Shoutout to all the bus drivers, those not on strike, operators of London Underground, members of the emergency services, doctors, nurses, postal workers and so on and so forth. All those that make the country run day in day out. I know some of them are on strike right now, and we're feeling it, but there are those that are at work. I also think many of those on strike deserve to be heard. Many of them have toiled for years without any increase in wages, even though expenses and inflation has skyrocketed. They've also seen their big bosses go home with massive bonuses and annual salary increases.
That's the thing with those that work for ourselves. If we want a "wage increase", we've got to create it ourselves. In that spirit, we're getting it moving. Time to harness all the opportunities available. 2023 is looking good I tell you.
Peace & Love,
Adé
