Last week another world record was set. This time for the World’s Most Expensive Signed Baseball!!! The ball you see above was sold for over $600,000!!!
This amazing piece of history contains the signatures on 11 of the first inductees into the Hall of Fame. All 11 who signed were present at the very first induction ceremony which was held in June of 1939!!!
SCP Auctions is the company responsible for finding the buyer. The exact amount? $623,369! The previous records were $388k for a ball signed by Babe Ruth & $343k for a double signed Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig ball.
The 11 signatures on this amazing ball are those of Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Ty Cobb, Cy Young, Tris Speaker, George Sisler, Walter Johnson, Connie Mack, Nap Lajoie, Eddie Collins and Grover Cleveland Alexander.
