The finally of our annual barnstormer tour against MLB Partner League clubs ended and there were so many positive things that happened.
That picture of the stadium was posted on Facebook and Instagram and I happened to be up at the plate hitting. It could have been anyone but it happened to me up to bat! So that was pretty cool.
We had a lot of good things happen and were battling the whole way clear up to the 9th inning. A couple guys completely went off at the plate and that will help them get future opportunities this season. We had 5 guys stick around with the Dogs and play with them against other teams the rest of spring training.
We had a good inning here started off by two hits, a ground out that moved myself and Luis into scoring position and then a sacrifice fly that allowed me to score. To run the bases and touch home in this game was something special. I was able to give my bat away to a kid so he was super pumped and my teammate gave the other kid his bat.
The tour started in New York against the Long Island Ducks who Trevor Bauer is signed to. Then after that we went to the Cleveland area to play the Lake Erie Crushers and finished up against the Chicago Dogs.
A lot happened this spring and something happened to my Ecency app to where it wasn't letting me do much from there and I hadn't made it a point to put my keys back in there.
Last tour I focused more on pitching and this year I focused more on hitting.
