That one looked like it hurt! Eddie Rosario left the game in the 3rd inning with a sprained ankle when he tried to run from 1st to 2nd base. Sucks, too, because the Twins outfield has been stretched rather thin lately. On the plus side, it appears the injury is minor, and Rosario won't be placed on the injured list for long, if at all.
Despite the loss of Rosario, the Twins bats had a pretty solid night! They shocked the Rays, 6-4, with an explosive 3 runs in the 1st inning alone! Nelson Cruz had a spectactular 3-run double in the 7th inning stretch to put the Twins on top, and the Rays never recovered. Fantastic show of things, all around!
And it turns out my predictions were, uh, a little off there. I didn't think we'd see a high scoring game, and this exceeded expectations! Did the Twins struggle? Maybe. Losing Rosario in the 3rd definitely put the Twins on a rough patch. But triumph comes out of adversity, and the Twins have certainly triumphed!
