Let me just start off by saying that I am not a “Lebron hater” since I know assumptions will be made if I don't start with that disclaimer. The man is undoubtedly one of the greatest basketball players of all-time. However, let’s face it, right now the Cavaliers are not meeting most people’s expectations. Although they lost Kyrie, many people said that with the addition of Derrick Rose and Isaiah Thomas that they were actually an improved team. That clearly has not been the case. With Derrick Rose being out with another terrible injury (I swear, there is something wrong with the guy on a cellular level ☹), and with Isaiah seemingly unable to reduce his role for the good of the team, along with the tension between him and Kevin Love, it has been kind of ugly.
They just might turn a corner and come together as a team at some point, but right now the Celtics look like the superior team. They’re blessed with their amazing new rookie, Jayson Tatum, their sophomore Jaylen Brown has made improvements in his game, and Kyrie has proved that he can lead a team and step out of Lebron’s shadow. Those are just a few things they have going for them. It is a little ironic that it might be Kyrie’s team that prevents the Cavaliers from reaching the finals again, but it looks like that may just happen. What do you think?
