There are a lot of reasons to like BAT and the Brave browser, I recommend listening to the below if you are interested in getting more details.

Ignoring all the great user focused benefits with the Brave browser (faster, smoother, more meaningful browser experience) all you need for a quick decision, just like anything, is to follow the money. It seems pretty clear to me that advertisers dont particularly care about user experience as long as their ad gets seen. What they do care about though is the bottom line.

From the above report.....
FUTURE OUTLOOK:
‣ If ad fraud continues to evolve at this rate, the money we stand to lose to ad fraud in 2017 could be as high as $16.4bn (This is as digital spend
grows to hit $80bn, as forecast by eMarketer, and the programmatic / direct split shifts to
a 50:50 balance)
OF THE TWO MAIN TYPES OF DIGITAL ADVERTISING SPEND:
‣ $27bn was spent on programmatic (of which 29% was invalid traffic) – costing $7.8bn
‣ Main drivers of invalid traffic: adware and botnet fraud (accounting for ¾ or $5.15bn
‣ $39bn was spent on non-programmatic or publisher-direct media (of which 12% was invalid traffic) – costing $4.65bn
‣ Main drivers of invalid traffic: adware and botnet fraud (accounting for ½ or $2.325bn)
ACROSS OUR SAMPLE OF 200BN DAILY BID REQUESTS, 50% WERE DETECTED AS EITHER:
‣ Non-human traffic (a bot, or hijacked device)
‣ A fraudulent traffic source from the supplier and/or a fake domain
There will be incentives for different players in the advertising game to get involved and that will bring value to the network.
The stats:
- 1 bln BAT
- Over 70 bln in annual add revenue
- Over 12 bln lost revenue due to shitty add system
- Initial ICO price ~.024 USD (was done based on 1 ETH = 6400 BAT but ETH was at ~150 when they were issued)
- Current prices ~ .20 USD
There is a great value proposition and if they can secure a couple partners then value could start flowing in pretty fast.
You also need to assume a good portion of the BAT will be locked up in exchanges or otherwise not getting used in the system. If you assume only half (completely unscientific assumption) of all tokens are getting used in the network, at a 20 cent price, compared to a $70 bln Network - BAT would only need to account for .1429% of the total online ad network. Thats enough reason for me to but it on my "regular buy" list. Curious to hear what others think.
