I am at my grandfather's house for the last week. I have two exams at the both end of the week. One has passed, and another is coming on this Friday.

Usually, one of my cousins come at Thursday evening and leaves Saturday early morning. But due to election, his office was off. So, he came on Monday and was here for Tuesday.

He has many hobbies. He is good at fishing. So we planned we would be fishing on the whole Tuesday. As planned, after waking up, we prepared bait and went to one of the three ponds owned by our family. In the morning we had no luck catching big ones. We caught several small ones which we then left at the pond. As the summer season, the water level of the pond is very low and fish were not biting the baits. So the morning was over. We planned to go to another pond at the afternoon.

At noon, another brother called and told to go to his in-law's house for lunch. The elder brother rejected the offer. So, I went with the second brother. It took around half an hour to go there. We told them we had plans, so it did not take much time. We returned home on around 3:00 pm.

Returning home, we saw the elder brother was already prepared everything and was waiting for us. So we the three musketeers (or rather stooges 🥴) went out for the pond to catch some fish.

Here the right one is me and the left one is the elder brother. This time we were extremely lucky. He threw the ground bait and then used the rod and within minutes the first big catch of the day. It was a Rohu carp which weighted around 2 kilos!

I then did a blunder being a noob! I felt a fish eating my bite, so I pulled it, for not being accustomed to spinning rods, did not knew what to do. The fish went swimming here and there. And it twisted my rod's thread with my brothers! I failed to bring it up and it was eventually released from the hooks! And the saying goes The fish we fail to catch are the biggest, that was the biggest of the day!

So, yeah, he was giving me some advice also on how to catch fish.

We took turns, even maternal uncle joined us. But all the fish were caught by the elder brother. The middle one also hooked several but failed to catch them.

The smallest brother after returning from school finishing exam joined us.

Time passed away quickly, the moon began to appear on the horizon! But we were absorbed in fishing, capturing the moment, enjoying every bit of it.

At about six o'clock, we decided it was enough for today. So we packed up the things. Then it was time for the photo session of the fish 😅. All the fish were caught by the expert one, we were just there to give him support (and annoy him at times by talking too much! 🫣)

After that getting fresh, we ate chips, coke and played GTA V till 9:00pm. It was amazing and we all enjoyed it very much!

গত সপ্তাহে আমি আমার নানাবাড়িতে এসেছি। টানা ২টা শুক্রবারে পরীক্ষা হওয়ায় চিন্তা করলাম বাড়ি না ফিরে এখানে থেকে একসাথে ২টা পরীক্ষা দিয়েই নাহয় ফিরি। একটা হয়ে গেছে, আরেকটা সামনের শুক্রবারে।

সাধারণত আমার খালাতো ভাই বৃহস্পতিবার সন্ধ্যায় আসে আর শনিবার খুব ভোরে চলে যায়। কিন্তু নির্বাচন থাকায় মঙ্গলবার ছুটি পাওয়ায় সোমবার বিকেলে চলে আসে বাড়িতে।

এই ভাইয়ের অনেক কিছুর শখ। সে মাছ ধরাতেও যথেষ্ট দক্ষ। তো আমরা ঠিক করি মঙ্গলবার সারা দিন মাছ ধরেই কাটিয়ে দেবো। যেই কথা সেই কাজ! সকালে উঠেই সবকিছু নিয়ে আমদের তিনটা পুকুরের একটাতে চলে যাই আমরা দুজনে। কিন্তু গ্রীষ্মকাল হওয়ায়, পুকুরে পানি বেশি নেই। আর আমরা বেশ কিছু ছোট মাছ ধরি। কিন্তু বড় মাছ পাই না সকালে। ছোটমাছগুলোকে আবার পুকুরে ছেড়ে দেই। এমনিতেই বড় মাছ পাচ্ছিলাম না, আবার ছোটগুলোও বড়শিতে মুখ দিচ্ছিলো না বেশি। এভাবেই সকাল শেষ হলো। ঠিক করলাম বিকেলে অন্য খালার পুকুরে যাবো।

দুপুরে, আরেকজন খালাতো ভাই কল দিয়ে বললো তার শ্বশুরবাড়ি যেতে। সকালে যার সাথে মাছ ধরলাম সে যাবে না, অগত্যা আমরা দুজনেই গেলাম। যেতে আসতে আধাঘন্টা করে সময় লেগেছে। আমাদের বিকেলে কাজ আছে বলে দ্রুতই খাওয়া দাওয়া শেষ করে ফিরে আসি। বাসায় ফিরতে ফিরতে প্রায় ৩টা বেজে গিয়েছিলো।

বাসায় এসে দেখি আমাদের সাথে না গিয়ে সে চার, আধার এসব বানিয়ে ফেলেছে, সব গুছিয়ে আমাদের ফেরার অপেক্ষাতেই ছিলো। তো আমরা তিন মূর্তি বেরিয়ে পড়লাম মৎস্য শিকারে।

ছবিতে ডানপাশেরটা আমি আর বাঁয়েরটা আমার এক্সপার্ট খালাতো ভাই। বিকেলে আমাদের ভাগ্য বেশ ভালো ছিলো। চার পানিতে ফেলে, একটা বড়শি ফেলে আরেকটার ব্যবস্থা করতে করতেই টান পড়লো! কয়েক মিনিটের মাঝেই দিনের প্রথম বড় মাছ ধরা পড়লো বড়শিতে। রুই মাছটা প্রায় ২ কেজির কাছাকাছি ওজনের হবে।

এরপর আমি আকাজ করসি একটা। ন্যুব মানুষ তো তার উপরে হুইলের অভ্যাস বা অভিজ্ঞতা নাই। আমার বড়শিতে টান পরে, টানার চেষ্টা করতে থাকি, কিন্তু মাছটা আমার বড়শির সুতা ভাইয়ার বড়শির সুতায় পেঁচিয়ে বিদিকিচ্ছিরি কাণ্ড করে ফেলে। টানা হ্যাঁচড়ায় বড়শি থেকে খুলে তিনি চম্পট দেন। কথায় আছে না, ধরতে না পারা মাছটাই সেই দিনের সবথেকে বড় মাছ আমার সাথেও তাই হয়েছে, যেটা পালালো সেটা আসলেই সব থেকে বড় মাছটাই ছিলো!

আকাজের পরে ভাই উপদেশ দিচ্ছিলো কিভাবে মাছ ধরবো। (আগে বললে নাহয় ধরতে পারতাম!)

আমরা পালাক্রমে মাছ ধরছিলাম। মামাও এসেছিলো আমাদের সাথে। কিন্তু সব মাছই ধরেছে ওই একভাইই। অন্য খালাতো ভাইয়ের বড়শিতেও কয়েকটা মাছ বেঁধেছিলো, কিন্তু আমার মতো সেও ব্যর্থ।

সবচেয়ে ছোটোটা মামাতো ভাই। স্কুলে পরীক্ষা দিয়ে বাসায় ফিরে আমাদের সাথে জুটে গিয়েছিলো।

সময় কোথা দিয়ে কিভাবে যে কেটে গেলো টেরই পেলাম না। দিনে যে চাঁদ দেখা যায় সেটাও দেখা যাচ্ছিলো। আমরা মগ্ন হয়ে মাছ ধরা, গল্প করা, ছবি তোলায় ব্যস্ত ছিলাম। প্রতিটা মূহুর্ত উপভোগ করছিলাম।

সন্ধ্যা ৬টার দিকে মনে হলো যথেষ্ট হয়েছে আজকের মতো। সবকিছু গুছিয়ে ফেললাম আমরা। এরপর মাছের ছবি তোলা হলো। শুধু একজনেই ধরতে পেরেছে মাছ আর আমরা সাথে থেকে মানসিক সাপোর্ট দিয়েছে এবং বকবক করে বিরক্ত করেছি!

এরপর হাত-মুখ ধুয়ে চিপস আর কোক খেতে খেতে রাত ৯টা পর্যন্ত GTA V খেলেছি। সময়টা দারুণ কেটেছে আমাদের প্রতিটা মূহুর্ত আমরা উপভোগ করেছি!
