My family knows that each time I go home on holidays in the Philippines, always, always we go to SABANG. A friend of mine introduced her to me a couple of years ago and she have captivated me ever since...to the point of wanting to retire there, but unfortunately, I have no land to pitch my tent in.
All these BTCs going to the moon hype...perhaps with Steem? Come on, make my dream come true.
Sabang is only less than an hour or so from Vigan. I always say that for anyone visiting VIGAN, a sunset in Sabang must not be missed.
A wooden bridge with a rest house or a bahay kubo in the middle was built over the corals, we had a picnic there during this photo shoot for a few cents per head.
There's a dormitory-like accomodation at the entrance for about $10 per night if one care to check this place and want to stay. Though there's no any waves that afternoon, Sabang is the surfing capital in our province ILOCOS SUR.
It's also a sleepy fishing village so it looks picturesque with boats bobbing in the water during the day. There's not much to do outside surfing season unless camping in the island and swimming and snorkeling. The island is not inhabited so boats can be hired to bring campers there for overnite stay or longer. There's no facilities there so unless you want to fatten the mosquito inhabitants, bring own tents and provisions.
Sounds boring for a retirement place? Imagine those sunsets...with a cheap Merlot or Bordeaux.
