I finally refreshed my hair. At first I wasn't sure what I wanted this time, but a bit of Photoshop helped me determine that I wanted to do a half and half with green and violet.
The violet does come out a little bluer in some images, but a bit of adjusting took care of getting the colour correctly in the image as seen with the naked eye. It's still quite blue at this stage. Blue is a colour that fades out very quickly, that's why I only did a blue part twice. Once more blue comes out of the green and violet, they'll each be a bit more yellow and red respectively, but still retain their potent original colour essence of deep green and deep violet. As they pale, they'll become more pastel-like.
This is a view from the mirror, which is how I see myself, with the colours on the other sides than what others see. I get so used to the mirror view, when I see images and videos of myself with the fresh hair, I feel as though ti's backwards and strange haha
I was hesitant to make two pig tail braids because I used to have a much thicker mane of hair on my head before my health hair thinning episode that lasted a couple of years. Since then, more hair has grown, but I still have less hair than I did in the past. However, I took a chance and I'm glad to see that my braids are not as thin as I had feared, even though they're not as thick as they once were.
I'm still rockin' it and that makes me happy. You're never too old to colour your hair, and in just over a week I'll be 37. What I like about the violet in particular is that is darkens the white hairs on my head, not just colours them. You can see which hair strands are white on the green side from their very pale and shimmering essence. The violet surprisingly also sticks to the brown more and better than the green. Good to know for when I actually start to go grey.
Which half / colour is your fav?
All images were taken with my Canon SX730 HS. They were adjusted with Photoshop.
