I am a skin care therapist and makeup artist with over 10 years of experience working in spas, salons, plastic surgeons offices and on projects such as album covers, internet shorts, commercials, and movies. I sound far more fancy than I really am. I don't always wash my face. I sometimes skip primer. I'm down to earth and I love to share my knowledge with others. If you have a skincare or makeup question, I probably have a 10 page speech ready.
My alter ego is Lauren DeVous. It's a play off la rendezvous, which means 'the meetup'. I'm a long time Miranda Lambert fan and it stems from her old fan club parties. It's the only country music I listen to. I love Stephen King and Dean Koontz novels (I'm running out of novels to read. Send suggestions.) I love Stargate (all of them), Dark Matter, Firefly, and other related sci-fi. I enjoy playing Halo, Assassins Creed, Fable, and other junk games. I love conspiracy theories, cryptocurrency and crypto tech, and liberty/anarchy. My goal is to diversify this blog with all of my interests while making it primarily a beauty/makeup/skincare blog.
