Happy Monday to my Steemian family! This post is definitely more for the ladies today. I recently visited the newly renovated Bali Traditional Spa, which is right next to my work place.
Previously know as Melati Spa, Bali Traditional Spa, has just moved around the corner into a newly renovated and upgraded building. Yesi and her team are wonderful.
Focusing on Indonesian style beauty treatments, Bali Traditional Spa is a wonderful place to go for a massage, pedicure or hair treatment. Yesi focuses on holistic healing, and many treatments feature traditional herbs and oils.
I just found out that they have a massage special on Saturdays - perfect for me as I work Saturday mornings!
The interior is beautifully decorated, with touches of Bali permeating the relaxing space.
When I was there, I told Yesi how much I loved the wallpaper with the tropical leaves. She told me that it was actually a hand-painted mural! Can you believe it? I think it is the most beautiful element in the rooms, beside the gorgeous crinkled wall treatment.
So, what was I actually doing besides oohing and aahing over the mural? I was getting eyelash extensions! I have always wanted to try it out, but have always been hesitant due to my sensitive eyes and the fact that I wear glasses.
Just that morning I was researching where to get the procedure done, when my colleague came to tell me I had a visitor. It was Yesi, to show me the new premises! Isn't that just a crazy coincidence? I explained to her what I wanted to do, my fears and queries, and she explained everything so perfectly. I could see she really knew what she was talking about and I trusted her immediately!
I went for the treatment, and felt so comfortable on the heated massage bed that I almost fell asleep. I am so pleased with the results! I have really long lashes, but they are completely blonde, so I always feel that I have to wear mascara.
Below I show myself without mascara, and with it, just to illustrate the length. Then without make up AT ALL after the extensions! It is so amazing to wake up with butterfly eyes, and I must say it is super low maintenance.
I will need a fill in two - three weeks, I will see how it goes, as I am so in love with the extensions, and I don't want
to start looking like an Albino again!
I hope this wasn't too girly, and that everyone enjoyed my review of Bali Traditional Spa
