Hi All!
this is my first post to the steemit platform. im very impressed and would like to impart my experience traveling as a beekeeper.
a few years ago, i traveled and worked with bees all while living on a measley 250$/month. now that is a bit extreme i admit. but you can really cut your expenses by exchanging beekeeping services for food, shelter and pocket money. what i realized is that there is a serious shortage of beekeepers almost worldwide which means there are alot of desperate beekeepers looking for help.
I also spent one month working in a honeybee lab collecting samples.
i realized that you can do this with virtually any field thats experiencing a shortage or would need the help and it doesnt hurt to try. often times, people in niche fields(like beekeeping) are starved to meet likeminded people and will be very welcoming.
youll be surprised how much value you can contribute to projects while traveling :)
try calling researchers and offer your help for free(only food, shelter and possibly pocket money) and you will experience the culture and the country more fully!!
