There are more craft beers available in the Philippines than ever before and this one is one you shouldn't miss out on.
It is a nice crisp refreshing American Style Pale Ale on a hot tropical day. That photo is the front of my cabin, it was way too big but it was absolutely awesome, I rarely travel so when I do I really go all out. Sitting here watching the sea from the top of the hill was priceless.
Tough Tuko is brewed in PH by Crazy Carabao Brewing Company.
When you pour it into a glass it leaves a nice foamy head that last the duration of the drink, if you drink fast. The froth even sits on the rim of the bottle like crown. It it goes down smooth and has a good flavour without leaving much of a bitter after taste as the beer is quite liquid unlike Red Horse, another popular PH brand but neither compares to the thickness of Guinness.
Goes well with Beef Steak Tagalog Style which is one of my favourite dishes and wish I could find it in Dalian but I fear it's hopeless here. I didn't take any photos of it even though I had it several times. So here is one I found online. Depending the restaurant you order it from it can range in price from cheap to expensive and the quality of ingredients.

I do recommend having both even if not at the same time. However, when you're on vacation and and having a good time in great weather everything is better, Filipinos are so lucky to have to have such a paradise to call home. I mean like look at these views.
The label of the bottle explains a little history and why the beer is called Tough Tuko.
"Known as a 'Tuko' in the Philippines the Tokay Gecko is famous for its loud brash mating croak.
So unique is the croak, it gained the Tuko its slang name used amounst the U.S. soldiers in Vietnam the Fuck You Lizard".
These little guys were running all over the ceiling of the bar croaking and eating flies. It was pretty cool, sometimes the fell onto the floor and scurried back up the nearest post or wall.
Yep, Can't complain much here. What a view and well above the tsunami line.
