Firstly I could brag about the name of the brewers ...Take a look at the name and tell me if the Mont-Blanc does not evoke something ? Indeed that's the palatial mountain and exceptional site unique in the world...
What is the link with beers ? well they are brewed in the neighborhood of this lovely big mountains, that should be enough said ;-)
More seriously, we have here in Savoy local breweries such as the brasseurs du Mont-Blanc, and the craft beers are much appreciated here as they are flavored with local and mountain products like cranberries, blueberries , violets and also genepi, which is an alpine plant of the genus Artemisia from that we usually make a traditional herbal liqueur here.
One find of course all the traditional varieties such as the white ale, the red, and the amber beer aromatized with fir buds
La Verte, "the Green" is aromatized with Genepi ....Oh my !------------>
Their names play with the colors : La Blanche ~ La Verte ~ La Rousse ~La Violette ....
...and for the two last beers, they even play with the name, the provenance, and an image of a mountain girl,
which gives a french pun that is a bit salty, so if you want me to explain it, ask in a comment below...LoL
Hope you did enjoy this little local stroll through the brew
