De Poes: Pilsner

Here in South Africa, we do get some international beers from time to time. This time I had the Poes Pilsner from Belgium.

The beer comes in a 340ml bottle and has a 4.8% alcohol content. The label states that this beer is brewed according to a traditional Belgium recipe.

This beer has the normal ingredients and should be served a a nice cool 3 degrees Celsius.

This beer pours in a pale light yellowish colour, with a small white head on top. Although this beer has a nice light and refreshing taste, it is nothing special, on the contrary it is quite normal. On the other hand it is a great refreshing beer to drink on a hot summers day, and that is exactly where we are here in South Africa, in the middle of a nice hot summer!! Keep the beer flowing.
