Maskam Brewing Company: Blonde Ale.
I bought this beer some time back, during my road trip to the Northern Cape Province and West Coast of South Africa. That was during July - time just flies, as it feels like yesterday when we did the trip.
This beer was bought near Vredendal, which is close to nowhere!!
The Maskam Brewing Company is a real small Craft Brewery. Just look at how badly the paper printed label is pasted on the bottle. These labels are pasted by hand and as you can see it is not even the correct size as it overlaps the print work.
Luckily it is only the label that is not done nicely, when you pour the beer you can immediately see that it is good quality!! Just look at the colour and the thousands of tiny bubbles floating lazily to the top, forming a beautiful dense head on top of the beer!!
This beer does not only has good looks, it also tastes great!! It is a pity that this brewery is more than a 1000km from where I stay!!
To me it is the contents and not the outward appearance that counts, and this one delivered!! Does this not hold true for so many things in life, it is not the outward appearance that determine quality??
I hope you enjoyed the post and that you have a wonderful day.
