Okay, so it's Friday and a time to wind down a bit. Since our company moved to a new office there's a new tradition of going to a pub for lunch on a Friday. Too much alcohol is not conducive to a productive afternoon, so I just have a half. The Black Bull in South Ruislip had this Hobgoblin Ruby Beer from Wychwood. Definite toffee notes to this. Maybe not the ideal accompaniment to my haloumi burger, but not bad at all. The food was okay too, if a little expensive, but that's London prices.
I liked this window at the pub.
After work it's time to chill out with another from my Greene King selection box. Old Golden Hen has a colour to match its name. A slight bitterness, but very refreshing. I'm afraid I'm not a great one for describing flavours, but writing these posts is making me think about it a little more.
