Burnt Rock
Part of the Best of Beaus 4-Pack
Burnt Rock is a classic British-style porter, brewed with an addition of organic vanilla beans. Despite what the weighty aroma suggests, Burnt Rock has a good, clean finish, and sessionable drinkability.
History Style
Burnt Rock was brewed first in 2012, as part of our Pro-Am Series of beers designed by amateur brewers and brewed at Beaus cheers to its creator, Patrick Boisvenue! The 2013 edition of Burnt Rock Vanilla Porter won Gold at Montreals Mondial de la Bire.
Tasting Notes
With rich, luxuriant vanilla aromas reminiscent of fine pipe tobacco, selected dark malts offer up balancing chocolate and coffee nuances for this medium-bodied beer. Hops add a pleasantly dry finish.

Our Thoughts
Today we have "Burnt Rock" which is a Brown Porter that could be compared to a Average Porter. Rated at 5.6 ABV's this beer has a little bit of kick. This beer is for someone who want's somthing more than just an ale. A great beer for a cold day.

Brown Porter
Brown porters are mid to dark brown may have red tint in color. No roast barley or strong burntblack malt character should be perceived. Low to medium malt sweetness, caramel and chocolate is acceptable along with medium hop bitterness. This is a lightto medium-bodied beer. Fruity esters are acceptable.
